1. Sponsor
The Discover San Ramon Photo Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Discover San Ramon (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents and visitors who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Participants under 18 years of age may enter only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Employees, contractors, judges, and immediate family members of Discover San Ramon are not eligible to win. Void where prohibited by law.

3. Contest Period

Entries will be accepted beginning July 15, 2026, and ending at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on August 15, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.

4. How to Enter
Entries must be submitted through the official contest website.

Each submission must include:

Photographer name
Photographer Instagram handle
Email address
Photo upload
Contest category
Photo location
Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

No purchase is necessary. Multiple entries are permitted.

5. Image Requirements
Submitted photographs must:
Be original work created by the entrant.
Have been photographed within or clearly depict San Ramon.
Not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
Not contain watermarks, logos, or promotional text.
Not be AI-generated or substantially AI-created.
Be suitable for public display.
Be submitted in high-resolution JPEG or PNG format.

Discover San Ramon reserves the right to reject any submission that does not meet these requirements.

6. Permissions
Entrants are responsible for obtaining permission from any identifiable individuals appearing in submitted photographs.
Photographs containing recognizable minors must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Entrants represent that all necessary permissions have been obtained.

7. Copyright & License
Entrants retain ownership and copyright of their submitted photographs.
By submitting an entry, the entrant grants Discover San Ramon a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:
use
reproduce
publish
distribute
display
crop
edit
resize
adapt
modify
create derivative works from

the submitted photographs in any format or media now known or later developed, including but not limited to:
websites

social media

digital advertising

print advertising

brochures visitor

guides

newsletters

presentations

tourism marketing

promotional materials
public relations
educational materials

No additional compensation will be provided for such use.
Discover San Ramon may use submitted photographs regardless of whether they receive a prize.
Whenever reasonably practicable, Discover San Ramon intends to credit photographers when using images on social media. However, credit is not guaranteed in every instance, particularly where space or format limitations exist.

Composition

Authentic representation of San Ramon

Storytelling

Marketing value
Overall impact

Judges’ decisions are final

9. Prizes
Prizes are subject to availability and may be substituted with prizes of equal or greater value.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
Discover San Ramon reserves the right to add or modify prizes if necessary.

10. Winner Notification
Potential winners will be contacted using the email address provided during entry.
If a winner cannot be reached within seven (7) days or declines the prize, an alternate winner may be selected.

11. Publicity
By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, likeness, photograph, hometown, and submitted images for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

12. Disqualification
Discover San Ramon reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:
submits false information;
violates these Terms & Conditions;
infringes another person’s intellectual property;
submits offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful content;
attempts to manipulate or interfere with the Contest.

13. Limitation of Liability
Discover San Ramon is not responsible for:
lost, delayed, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected submissions;
technical malfunctions;
internet or website interruptions;
unauthorized access to submissions;
any damages arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance of any prize.

14. Privacy
Personal information collected through the Contest will be used solely for administering the Contest, communicating with entrants, and marketing communications.

15. Right to Modify or Cancel
Discover San Ramon reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control impair the integrity of the Contest.

16. Governing Law
The Contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from the Contest shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in California.

17. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Official Terms & Conditions and may receive marketing communications from Discover San Ramon.
